A Christmas Tale
The Chocolaty Night
As we said goodbye to our childhood friend and walked her out of the door. After having celebrated our pre-Christmas dinner and opened the various gifts that she had chosen from AD HOME’s collection. We started to arrange the living room when I was in a mood for something chocolaty.
I looked at my sister with bright eyes as I said “I will prepare hot chocolate; would you like to have one “
“With tiny marshmallows “My sister replied as she picked up the plates and took them to the kitchen. It was our mom’s signature hot chocolate recipe that brought that joy each Christmas eve to our hearts.
As we took our cups and head outside to catch that light night winter breeze. We got our favorite double-faced fur and paisley blankets with us with printed cushions to place them on the egg-like chairs outside.
We sat and started to talk as we gazed upon the stars drinking our hot chocolate and enjoying that scented candle booming with the heliotrope scent.
Then as we sat there in silence, our eyes start to close little by little. It was time to call it a night and head to bed. But we didn’t want to sleep in our room, we wanted to remember the love and the memories. So, we decided to sleep in our parent's room.
