Sawfar Gives Way to ETRO’s Woodstock Sofa

In Lebanon, the clock adjusts its time, and the high summer temperatures begin to drop. The leaves of mature trees change their green color to shades of yellow, ocher, and brown until they dry up and fall, helped by the wind that blows with greater force. On a symbolic level, it is as if nature is practicing detachment and letting go of what is no longer essential.

Following the rhythms of the nature of our city, it was not difficult for us to choose a new setting for our similarities and reflections that we always quote in our ETRO HOME in Lebanon blog and WHAT MOVES US? we are driven by the love for the country, the love for the similarities between the Arabic and Italian cultures, the love for design and architecture, and most importantly, the love and courage to remain positive, always looking forward despite the odds jolts of life.

This time our team and I, set out on our journey from Beirut to an old town, known for its beautiful scenery, architecture, and historic buildings. Its strategic location makes it surrounded by deep valleys. The mountainous landscape that surrounds it is of great beauty, which makes the town seem to have fallen from the sky floating. It is located almost halfway between the Lebanese coast and the Syrian border, overlooking the mystical mountains of the Metn region and the Hammana Lamartine valley.

The Sawfar Corniche is one of the most beautiful roads we have seen, surrounded by trees, villas, and old Lebanese houses on each side of the road. This place was, without a doubt, the setting chosen to capture our Woodstock sofa from ETRO HOME in a photo.

The sofa’s red color accentuates the ocher-brown tones of the leaves of the trees. Not only nature is changing, but our interior and our feeling is also transformed. The red color of this sofa is a vibrant red, which pushes us away from melancholy and remembers that our hearts must continue to vibrate in the face of the changes of light and darkness that we experience day by day.

Its lines and shapes have a welcoming and comfortable appearance, inviting us to live this season on it. In autumn, we spend less time outdoors and we are at home, Woodstock sofa is the perfect companion to hug us during the time to read a good book, enjoy ourselves, stimulate conversations with our families or friends, to enjoy a glass of red wine or a good cigar.
