“DIANA ARMCHAIR” SURROUNDED BY THE MONUMENTS OF FAQRA
“DIANA ARMCHAIR” SURROUNDED BY THE MONUMENTS OF FAQRA
Snow! Snow! It was what we wanted for this new adventure of ETRO HOME IN LEBANON until finally, it snowed in our mountains.
I tell you that we spent the entire month of January asking each other between our work team: Is there snow on the mountain? No! There is not yet. So, let’s postpone the blog to next month. We need the snow!
It is that we did not want to miss the opportunity to show you how beautiful the landscape of Lebanon is when its mountains are bathed in that majestic white color that God gives us this season.
Faqra is a city that is 45 minutes from Beirut, located in the heart of the majestic mountains of Lebanon. It is a unique town, due to its notable remains of monuments that include: temples, columns, altars, and tombs excavated in the rock. The story goes that its unusual setting and abundance of natural wonders prompted early civilizations to build these temples and altars to worship their God.
Faqra in winter is an experience not to be missed by a Lebanese or any tourist. Its landscape is covered in snow and forms an impressive backdrop for these historical testimonies that have been kept for centuries.
And that is how we decided that this was the background of our canvas that we wanted to use for this season. The protagonist chosen to immerse in this landscape was DIANA armchair from the ETRO HOME collection. The armchair celebrates the eclectic and versatile soul of the brand. Its vintage structure is made of solid wood in a dark wenge color and is enhanced by the Paisley fabric, presented on this occasion in a new light tone with a touch of brown that fits perfectly into the Faqra landscape.
The result is a photo where you can see how the colors of the chair blend in, with those of the snow and the brown, and grayish of the rocks, and surrounding ruins, but the sensation is as if we were sitting in the corridor of our house, the silence and momentum of the place invite you to sit back and appreciate our surroundings in these natural wonders and to reflect on how lucky we are to have this escape just 50 km from the hustle and bustle of daily life in our city. It is a gift from God.
How not to understand when history tells us that our ancestors were inspired by this place to build these temples and worship God. Saying it is one thing, living it is another.
The snowy peaks, valleys, and floors are the dream of any photographer, so we did not miss the opportunity to capture other images with our collection of ETRO HOME ACCESORIES, which we will show you later in our next posts, but remember the journey does not end here, you can go ahead and take a walk to explore the nearby villages of Faqra. I hope you liked the trip. Tell us what you think of our final canvas. Did you like it?
